No Dual Agencies!
Under California Real Estate Law, agents must disclose their relationship to all parties in a transaction. They can represent the buyer, the seller, or both in a transaction.
Unlike most agents, we represent only one party to a transaction. We find it a conflict of interest when an agent represents both the Buyer and the Seller in the same transaction. Our experience has shown us that the real estate agent in a dual agency situation is more interested in both sides of the commission than in the complete representation of both the Buyer and Seller. Remember, we represent you only.
When interviewing agents, ask if they handle dual agencies - if the answer is yes - Look Out!
If they say no - ask for it in writing!
